I should be sleeping

It's 4:30 am... I should be sleeping. *sigh* I woke up first because the room was way too hot, but then I had to have something to eat.

So here I am.

The fog's moved in over our little town; and I love the way it shrouds everything in mystery.

We went for a drive today (I guess this was yesterday already!) to the top of one of the local mountains. It's nearly June, but there was still snow in places at the top!

Then, last evening after dinner, I happened to look out towards the starlings' nest to see three of the babies poking their heads down to try to see where their parent had gone with the food! It was so cute. I got out the camera, of course, but only managed to get a picture of one little guy later on. You can see his beak in the middle of the opening in this first one:
