Hairy Situations

Well, we're moving... again... haha *sigh*

At the end of August, we get possession of a house here in Prince Rupert - yup, we're buying a house! And in less than a month, we move. So far, I've *emptied* 4 boxes. heh. We ended up bringing with us from Squamish several boxes of books that we don't need anymore; so I went through all of the boxes and separated the ones that can be donated from the ones that need to be otherwise disposed of. So now we have 4 empty boxes that can be used for things we're actually going to be *keeping*.

It's weird - each time we move, I put the packing process off for longer and longer! The first couple times, I'd start weeks in advance of the move; now it's like, ahhh, it'll get done.

We were going to go camping for a couple nights last weekend, but Chad sprained his ankle quite badly - bad enough that he let me take him to Emerg - so camping & sleeping on an air matress on the ground wouldn't have been very comfy. We bought a few movies (gotta love 3 for $30 deeals) and stayed at home instead; which worked out well because the TV room is in the basement, which is quite a bit cooler than the upper floor, and it was hot last weekend! Chad's ankle is still a fair bit swollen and sore, but has treated us to quite a lively display of rainbow-like colours during the healing process.

Tuesday I got my hair cut. Finally! The *curls* from the perm I had at the end of January lasted only a few weeks; but it left me with split ends; so it was time to get it cleaned up. She took off about 6 inches, and tidied up the layers and added a few more in there. It feels really good, and I'm quite happy with it.

Later that night, Chad suddenly came upstairs and said, "I'm bored... wanna help me shave my head?!" He's been needing a cut for a few weeks, but hasn't had the time to get in for an appointment... so I think he'd just had enough. He did most of the work, and I just did some of the "detailing" at the end. It actually looks pretty good.

So then I thought, just so no-one feels left out, the cat's gotta be next...

Look at how well he works it!

My heart goes out to ya on the moving. Last week I helped my sister move to a new apartment. Oh yeah- Loads of fun! She went from a bachelor to a 2 bedroom and SOMEHOW filled it!
Cool cat :P

We didn't get to go camping either, but we did spend the day at the campground (Kedjimakujik National Park) while our cuz's were there. It's so beautiful there. Went swimming, biked a little.

I swear I'm going to get arthritis in my hand from spraining my fingers a number of times. When I was first learning to catch a football, I went to grab it, but it was more of a hand-make-contact-with-ball thing instead of actually catching it. Well, it did indeed make contact, but in such a way so as to bend my fingers in quite an unpleasent manner. I think that was the worst time, but it happened a couple times after that too. So yup, prime canidate for arthritis I figure.
Buuuut, then again, this systems almost over, so I don't have to worry about it ;-)

well, I'm no expert, but I *doubt* you'll get arthritis from a weekend of footbal... hehe
