Boxes, Anyone?

It's almost official. We won't know for *sure* until Friday, but we're most likely going to be moving to Prince Rupert, BC. Chad's had 2 interviews for the position of publisher at the daily paper there and on Friday will be discussing & finalizing all the nitty-gritty details. So the next few weeks (and months!) promise to be exciting ones!
This past weekend was lovely. The weather was so nice, and we took the opportunity to go for a long drive - past Whistler, Pemberton, Lillooet, Lytton, to the edge of Hope, through Agassiz, Mission, Maple Ridge, and back. I got some great photos...

Spring is nearly here!

Saturday, we passed by a farm; and I had to stop for photos of this little calf...

He looked so fluffy and was just adorable.

Then, a donkey wandered over toward the fence close to me...

He had such a sweet temperment!

There was a large ditch between me and the fence, so I walked about a block along the fence till there was an access point. The donkey followed me the whole way! Then I spent about 15 minutes petting it. When I scratched its neck, it leaned over way close to me - I guess it liked that! I just fell in love with him. If we DO move to Prince Rupert, I'm determined to have a yard big enough for me to adopt a donkey! I've scanned a few more photos - you can find them in my "Flora & Fauna" album.

I didn't think you were allowed to have livestock in Prince Rupert, maybe you can though.
