I found out yesterday that my blog's title "Ambrosia" was confusing to some... so, in an attempt to make my site easier to remember - voila - welcome to Amboire's Attic!
Now my blog's name and address have the same root word in them, and hopefully this will lessen the confusion!

On the subject of confusion. There is an older brother in our hall who has been afflicted with Alzheimer's. Just as the meeting was starting yesterday, he was looking around quizically for his briefcase. Some of the brothers helped him look, and finally he located where he'd left it, and made his way to a seat. Then, part way through the talk, he got up from his seat, and was wandering around at the back of the hall and the foyer. Finally one of the brothers asked him what he was doing, and he said, "Where's my wife?" The young brother explained that his wife was home sick, and he'd come on his own to the hall.
It was so sad to witness; I was so close to welling up with tears for him. This system is so hard on humans, and so obviously not the way Jehovah intended. It will be such a relief when the new system comes and things are restored to the way they should be.

It's so hard to watch. Alzheimer's is a horrible disease. Soon it will all be gone.
yeah, that will be nice.... what will be gone soon??
On a lighter note...sorta, heh:
"I'm very sorry", said the doctor. "I'm afraid I have bad news and worse news."
"Tell me the worst."
"I'll be honest, you have cancer, you'll be dead in three months."
"What on earth is the bad news?"
"You also have Alzheimer's Disease."
"Alzheimer's? Oh well, at least I don't have cancer."
