Well, I got pulled over by a police man for the very first time Sat night/Sun morning!
Here's how the story went. I've had a *very* swollen gland behind my left ear for a couple of weeks, and the pain was unbearable by Saturday. Chad was out fishing with a brother (Les) until about 10:30 pm, and when they got in, they ordered pizza, and Les picked up some beer. They hung out for a while, Les went home around 1:30 or something, and then me & Chad headed for the hospital so I could get something for the pain. But, since Chad had been drinking, I had to drive. Driving at night is difficult for me because of the medication that I take. So I had just gotten on to the main road (4 lanes), and had to stop for some kid to J-walk across. When I started moving again, I realized I was basically in both of my lanes, and had pretty much cut off the vehicle behind me. Upon closer inspection, I realized that vehicle was a cop car!
He let me drive another couple of blocks before he turned on his lights (long enough to run our plates through the system, and he must've thought CHAD was driving! lol). So I pulled over, put the car in park, turned the volume off on the radio, got out my license and rolled down the window. And then he appeared, and asked the standard, "Do you have your license with you?" "Anything to drink tonight?" at which point I explained we were on our way to emerg, and though my medication makes it difficult for me to drive I was doing so because Chad HAD been drinking. Then I said, "Yeah I uh noticed I practically cut you off back there... I'm really sorry.." He kinda grinned, and nodded, saying, "uh huh". Then he said, "I'll be right back," and went to his car to do whatever it is they do back there. When he came back, he handed me my license back and asked, "Are you okay to drive, even with the medication?" I answered, "Yeah, I just have to be really careful."
So... no ticket... no warning... no trouble... no nothing, except the memory of my being pulled over for the first time!

What DO they do back there? Sneak a donut cause they can only stand to go so long without having a fix? hmmm...
I've been pulled over twice, basically a warning both times. The first time was when I still had my begginers. I drove through a stop sign (had *a lot* of trouble with that sneaky stop sign), and there happened to be a cop behind me, which was not really a huge coinsidence, since the RCMP was on that street :/
The second time, it was for not using my blinker at a turn. But I pulled a few strings ;-) Dad used to clean the RCMP, and most of the guys are really nice and like him, so when the guy realized who I was I think that mighta helped. Or it was just my overall cuteness, haha.
guess there is a first time for everything well for some of us
