One of Those Moods

I'm usually a pretty easy-going person. Usually. But, I do have a pet peeve.

UNANSWERED MAIL

When somebody - *any*body - goes to the trouble to write, seal, address, and send a letter or card to you (with or without an accompanying gift) common courtesy would be to AT LEAST ACKNOWLEDGE that you received it!!

Maybe you're thinking, "okay, but, I'm not into writing letters..."

So? Phone then! Or email. Or fax. This IS the era of modern technology! Noone says you have to write a letter in response to one if that's not your chosen avenue of communication.

I'm not saying that I send things to people in an attempt to receive credit or brownie points. I'm not looking for "thank yous", I don't want people to gush appreciation. I send things because I want to and because, letter-writing is MY prefered avenue of communication. And a simple, "it got here" would be helpful... then I'm not wondering if it's lost itself in the postal system.

*sigh*

I guess I'm just in one of those moods.
