I noticed recently that a large selection of the cartoons in my flikr collection are "Speed Bump" cartoons by Dave Coverly; so the last time I was on Amazon, I searched his name. I ended up ordering two of his books. The cartoon above appears in Dave Coverly's "A Collection of Cartoon Skidmarks" and it reminded me of this quote I collected some time ago..."I had been told that the training procedure with cats was difficult. It makes me shake my head & smile to remember all the "rules" Chad & I had decided on before we got our Jake.. two of which were, he wouldn't be allowed in our bedroom, and, he certainly wouldn't be allowed on our bed.
The night we brought him home, we set up his litter and food for him, and when we were ready to go to bed, we shut out the lights in the house, closed the bedroom door behind us, and climbed into bed. It took our little kitty about 5 minutes of crying before I opened the bedroom door, went out, found him, picked him up, and brought him into bed with me. lol

Hahaha! I just *know* that when we try to show our pet "how to do it", in actuallity they are thinking, "That's a good human! Now try to catch the ball!"
