He is patient

Thursday, I gave my first talk in... probably over a year. I was assigned the #3 talk, "Why we must keep on the watch". I had a hard time getting started because I felt like the LAST person who should be giving advice on that subject. I tried to get out of doing it even, for that reason. But, then a sister reasoned with me, "we *all* get assignments..."
So I did it. And it went well. And I can only say that Jehovah is so patient with us!
You can read the "manuscript" here if you like. My setting was "sharing my belief with a non-Witness relative".

Also on Thursday, Chad volunteered to give the #4 talk, impromptu; and he did really well. He's a sales guy with the gift of the gab!

And last night, he started packing some boxes. Which he continued today, while also mowing & trimming the lawn, doing 2 dump runs, washing & vacuuming the car... he's napping now. :)

And me? I've been doing some compilation work for the paper's 1st annual "reader's choice awards". 115 categories, times probably 100+ ballots.... you do the math... I've probably got a couple hours more ahead of me yet. I'm thinking, once our move is over, I'm going to take my resume to the hospital and see if the records dep't is looking for someone part time. I'm looking for something, part time, and out of the heavy-customer-contact realm (doctor's orders!) So we'll see what happens with that.

One thing I will miss once we move to our new house is the nighly harbour sunsets. I posted 4 new sunset photos on our flickr page - (titled, respectively: Impending, Omin-ous-ity, Speechlessness, Lullaby) - they were taken within minutes of each other, if you can believe it!

OH my dear girl, they're breath-taking! Just beautiful. How could any artist deny that there is a creator with such beauty before them.

I'm so proud of you! You are so right, Jehovah is very patient with us, and thank goodness. He is more patient with us then we are with ourselves sometimes, and he always wants to see us do better.
Excellent reasoning in your talk, btw. I really like how in recent articals in the magazines, armegeddon is presented as something really positive. It's what is going to get rid of all the bad stuff, and paradise conditions are what are to follow. It's a good thing! I like to use that reasoning in service, since most ppl don't have a clue about it, they only think of it as a bad thing.

I could keep typing, but I think I'll e-mail instead, hehe.

We can see how patient Jehovah has been with each and every one of us but we can also see that time is running out. I think the new tract will bring many positive results and hopefully will be a wakeup call for many also.
